This week we will be reading the story "Life in an Ocean" by Carol K. Lindeen. In this book, we will explore life in an ocean environment. We will also discuss the animals that call the ocean their home or habitat.Our Target Skill this week will be comparing and contrasting. We will be working to identify, form (handwrite), and match the letter "Aa" to its sound--/a/. We will spend two weeks on the letter "Aa" this year. We will also cover the reamining vowels of Ee, Ii, Oo, and Uu two weeks as well. We do this to instruct and inform the students of both the long and short vowel sounds that each letter covers.
